This Father Took His Son To What Can Only Be Described As The Arcade From Hell

Mike is ViralNova's resident Editor of the Weird. If it makes you say "OMG! That's terrible!!!" then Mike probably wrote it. Despite the subject of his articles Mike is surprisingly well adjusted. When he's not writing, he's making music, performing, and producing podcasts.

Reddit user smtreger thought he would have a fun afternoon with his son at an old arcade museum in Michigan, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum. The museum houses old carnival and entertainment machines, most of which are pretty cool.

However there are more than a few of the vintage mechanical exhibits that are just plain creepy. Warning. These photos may cause a lack of sleep due to sheer terror.

What the...!? I wonder what this one does.

It looks like someone created this machine straight out of their nightmares.

I would not dare to put my hand in there.

No thank you.

Who would make an arcade game about the Spanish Inquisition?

Torture chamber?

I guess this is more interesting than reading about the Inquisition in a textbook.

Talk about morbid...

Biblical style arcade machine, eh? I wonder how they're going to pull this one off.

Hello nightmares.

Why are there people inside the skull?

Is this another exhibit? I have no idea, but I'm scared for my life.

This can't be good...

Looks normal enough I suppose?

Until it starts vomiting some sort of red liquid.

He's coming for your soul.

Clever name.

"The doctor will see you now."

"What seems to be the problem?"

This might be the most terrifying thing I've ever seen.

That chair should be destroyed, not in a museum.

I have to give credit to smtreger for sticking it out and being able to walk through this entirely too creepy museum. For more about Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum make sure to visit their website here.
